First National Bank (FNB) has introduced NAV Car on the FNB app. This new addition is a smart solution that will assist customers with their car-maintenance needs, which includes seamless vehicle licence renewal with delivery to your door. This innovation from FNB comes after the launch of NAV Home late last year, which has seen nearly half a million customers access the functionality on the FNB app
Whether searching for a new home, looking for free instant home value estimates or obtaining a home loan pre-approval on NAV Home, customers have definitely taken advantage of FNBs digital banking experience.
“NAV from FNB provides customers with the ability to navigate their financial journey and provide new smart tools that will help manage their life in a simpler manner,” says NAV chief imaginer, Jolandé Duvenage. “Car owners in South Africa would appreciate the support of services that make vehicle ownership easier and keep them safer on our roads. The NAV Car solution makes navigating the roads that much simpler for our customers by addressing several pain points through access to a range of features and solutions via the FNB app,” Duvenage adds.
These features include:
Seamless vehicle licence renewal
Hassle-free licence disc renewal is one of the most exciting features of NAV Car. By simply scanning your licence disc you can request proactive notifications, plus easy renewal, in-app payment and delivery options to your door. With a few clicks or swipes, customers can avoid a host of frustrating and time-consuming processes as well as prevent penalties for late payment.
In addition, this functionality allows one to renew on behalf of a dependent who lives elsewhere, and have it delivered to them.
A shortcut to paying fines
Another useful feature is the ability to stay on top of any minor road infringements. NAV Car assists with instant fine notifications, and easy in-app payment.
Quick and easy garage management
By adding your vehicles on NAV Car through the scanning of your licence disc or manual entry, you can manage all your vehicles in one useful place. If you are financed by WesBank, your details will be automatically loaded for your convenience. This enables you to stay tuned to your car’s specs and get a free instant car-value estimate.
In addition, customers can take up the first NAV Car bundle called On-road Protect. The bundle offers the vehicle licence renewal experience for up to five discs with free delivery, fine discounts negotiated on your behalf, 24/7 bail assistance at roadblocks and, lastly, Road Accident Fund (RAF) claim and tyre-repair claim assistance due to pothole damage.
The On-road Protect has a monthly fee of R95 for added assistance with vehicle licences, fines, bail, accident and tyre claims. Vehicle licence renewal through NAV Car will cost you R199 per disc including delivery.
“NAV Car is a cool and helpful innovation that contributes to making the lives of our customers a lot easier. We believe that this useful innovation will help customers get the best out of FNB’s banking and lifestyle offerings,” Duvenage says.
