The highly-anticipated launch of the petrol-powered Maserati Levante-S took place in an unorthodox reveal at a glamorous event in Cape Town last night. To the surprise of attending guests, the car was dropped with a crane through the roof of Bree Street Studios while its engine was revved, amplifying Maserati’s signature roar.
Can you picture that?!
Dubbed the Levante-S, the vehicle boasts outstanding amounts of power, amplifying the brand’s signature roar. Until now, the Maserati Levante has been available in South Africa as a V6 Turbo Diesel engine. The new twin turbo V6 Petrol Levante-S offers over 430 hp (320 KW) which delivers a 0 – 100 km/h time of 5,2 seconds, making it a true performance machine.
“Since launching the Levante in South Africa last year, we have had an overwhelming response from the public. The arrival of the Levante S cements Maserati’s position as one of the country’s leaders in the niche vehicle segment, including luxury SUVs,” says Brad Graaff, operations manager for European Automotive Imports – South Africa (EAI-SA). EAI-SA is the official importer of the Maserati Brand in South Africa.
He adds: “Maserati is committed to the South African market, as the Levante S follows a range of new vehicle updates introduced by the brand earlier this year. Maserati South Africa has two showrooms in Johannesburg and Cape Town, with a third in the near future for Durban.”
The Levante-S is priced from R1 950 000. We can’t wait to get behind the wheel!
